 In School Games Media

Worcestershire’s Winter School Games is the culmination of District Level 2 (inter-school) competitions that have taken place since the start of the academic year. Hosted at the University of Worcester and Christopher Whitehead Language College, there will be 6 sports and 14 competitions taking place over the course of the day, with pupils from Year 3 – Year 13 taking part. The Winter School Games will start with an opening ceremony and end with medal ceremonies.

Supported by a trained workforce of young leaders and National Governing Bodies of sport, each competition will have representatives from the six Worcestershire Districts who will wear the colours of one of the School Games Values; Wyre Forest (Honesty – blue), Redditch (Determination – orange), Droitwich and Worcester City (Passion – pink), Worcestershire West (Teamwork – green), South Worcestershire ( Respect – grey), North Worcestershire (Self-belief – black).

Alongside the competitions, a School Games Village will be open, providing cross-curricular activities focusing on sport and healthy active lifestyles for pupils to engage in. This will include the Education team from West Midlands Safari Park, Change 4 Life activities, Worcestershire Cricket Board, music, fitness testing, cheerleading and much more!

Worcestershire’s Winter School Games promises to be a fantastic event!
